Yuri Kancher met with Uwe Roth, General Director of Lafarge A&C
On January, 26 Yuri Kancher, First Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia, had a working meeting with Uwe Roth, General Director of Lafarge A&C (Aggregates and Concrete), a French industrial company. Last year this industrial holding acquired enterprises of Golodai Gora Quarry JSC, Bolshoi Massiv JSC and Shokshinsky Quartzite JSC within the Karelnerud Holding. Leonid Suevalov, Sales and Logistics Director of Karelnerud has also taken part in the meeting.

The technical park of Sterlitamak – The perspectives and the problems of the high-end business development
Within participation in the primaries in the Republic of Bashkortostan Viktor KLIMOV the Vice President of OPORA RUSSIA has visited the technical park of the city of Sterlitamak, i.e. the Sterlitamak Production and Technological Center (SPTC). The visit goal was acquaintance with the basic aspects of the technical park and its resident’s activity including the small enterprises.

Small banks get U.S. funds to back business loans
Some federal funds aimed at encouraging community banks to step up their lending to small businesses have started flowing from Washington.
The U.S. Treasury said Wednesday that its Small Business Lending Fund would invest $7.3 million in Redwood Capital Bank, a community bank in Eureka, Calif.

Changes in personnel of the Government of Karelia
Head of the Republic of Karelia Andrei Nelidov has signed several Decrees concerining changes in personnel of the Government of the republic.
According to the Constitution of Karelia and in view of expiration of the term of office Tatyana V.Lebedeva is dismissed from the post of the Chief of the Civil Registry Office of the Republic of Karelia.
Irina Leonova is appointed Chief of the Civil Registry Office of the Republic of Karelia.
Alexandr V.Shmykov is appointed Chief of the Department of the Republic of Karelia on maintenance of activity of Justices of the Peace.
Upon her own initiative, in connection with retirement Lyudmila P.Kosyuk is dismissed from the post of the Deputy Chief of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Karelia.
